In Perth, students investigate urban ecology and biodiversity at Kings Park and Botanic Garden, alongside Aboriginal perspectives on traditional plant use, and engage in interactive conservation-focused learning at Perth Zoo.

A full-day experience on Rottnest Island explores coastal processes, marine ecosystems and island hydrology through fieldwork and snorkelling or shoreline studies, complemented by quokka habitat observation and Wadjemup cultural learning. The program concludes in Fremantle with a visit to Fremantle Prison, examining colonial history and the interaction between people, place and environment.
