Cairns & Daintree Rainforest Educational Tours

Our Cairns & Daintree program is an immersive, curriculum-aligned expedition that showcases the iconic reef and rainforest environments of Far North Queensland. Designed for Adventure Educational Tours, this experience connects students with key learning areas in Science, Geography and Sustainability through hands-on fieldwork across the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest.

From guided snorkelling and marine biology sessions on the reef to cultural learning with Kuku Yalanji guides at Mossman Gorge, students investigate biodiversity, ecosystem interdependence, and the impacts of climate change and tourism. Inland, exploration of the Atherton Tablelands, volcanic crater lakes and waterfalls introduces geomorphology and water systems, while experiences such as Paronella Park highlight the interaction between people and environment.

With opportunities for data collection, field journaling and collaborative analysis, students build critical thinking and inquiry skills while gaining a deeper understanding of conservation and sustainable management in one of Australia’s most diverse natural regions.

“Our recent Educational Tour to Uluru was an outstanding experience for our primary students, delivering meaningful learning far beyond the classroom. The program was exceptionally well organised, with engaging, knowledgeable guides who brought the landscape, culture, and history of the region to life in a way that was both age-appropriate and deeply impactful. Students developed a genuine appreciation for Indigenous perspectives, environmental sustainability, and Australia’s natural heritage, all while building confidence and independence.”
